Step-by-step installation guide

  1. Log into your Jira Cloud instance as an admin.

  2. Click on Jira settings and choose Apps.

  3. Click Find new apps from the left-hand side of the page.

  4. Locate Version & Component Sync for Jira via search.
    The appropriate app version appears in the search results.

  5. Click Try free to begin a new trial for Version & Component Sync for Jira.
    You're prompted to log into MyAtlassian. Version & Component Sync for Jira begins to download.

  6. Jira will now download and install our awesome app !

  7. Enter your information and click Generate license when redirected to MyAtlassian.

  8. Click Apply license.
    If you're using an older version of UPM, you can copy and paste the license into your Jira instance.


Changes in Jira

Upon installation of the Version & Component Sync app (VCS) you will see the following changes in your Jira instance:

A Version & Component Sync tab on the project settings page. 

Version & Component Sync is shown on the Jira administration apps page.
