While creating or editing a project link there are the app provides you with two main categories of settings:

  1. Synchronisation settings

  2. Filter settings

Synchronisation

Schedule

This setting allows you to configure when a synchronisation should take place. The app provides you with the following two options when creating a project link:

  • No scheduling: Synchronisation is only triggered by Jira events. This will disable the “Update” trigger. Rename operations or changes to description, start & release date will not be propagated

  • Default scheduling: Synchronisation will be scheduled using the default app schedule. In Version & Component Sync Cloud the default schedule is set to once per hour. This schedule is not configurable.

Triggers

This setting allows you to configure which versions/component events should trigger a synchronisation. Jira distinguishes the following events related to versions & components:

Versions

  • Create

  • Update

  • Delete

  • Move

  • Release

  • Unrelease

  • Archive

  • Unarchive

Components

  • Create

  • Update

  • Delete

  • Archive

  • Unarchive

Per default synchronisation is triggered by all version & component related events. You can disable or enable all version/component related triggers when creating a project link.

Filters

Filters allow you to configure which version should be synchronised from the source project to your target project(s). Per default no filters apply which means that all versions will be synchronised to the target project(s).
