Migration guide - Figma for Confluence Lite to Figma for Confluence

Great, how do I migrate?
The first step is to generate a Personal Access Token for the Figma API. You can read detailed instructions how to do so in the Figma API documentation

Once you've obtained a Personal Access Token, either edit an existing Figma for Confluence macro or add a new one to your Confluence page. You will be prompted to enter your Personal Access Token in the Figma for Confluence macro editor.

You only need to do this once. After you've provided the Personal Access Token, you can simply refresh the page and your existing Figma for Confluence macro's will start loading the selected node. You might want to check the dimensions!

We advise you to create a generic Figma account for Figma for Confluence (for example figmaforconfluence@yourdomain.com) and to create a Personal Access Token for this account.

By creating a generic account the Personal Access Token is not linked to your personal account and you will not loose access to the file from Figma for Confluence if your account access is removed.

Please keep in mind that you need to invite figmaforconfluence@yourdomain.com to each Figma file you would like to embed.

At the moment you can only enter your Personal Access Token in the app once. It is not possible to enter a different Personal Access Token for each file or node you would like too include in your Confluence pages.

I miss the old Figma embedded viewer
If you want to continue to use the Figma embedded viewer, you can switch to the free Figma for Confluence LITE app that is available on the Atlassian Marketplace.
